it's monday again!

Monday night already! I spent the day at work-12 hour day. Tomorrow's another 12 hour day, and then, it's bring on the days off! Had a nice steady day at work.
So, the last week's events are going to sound like a broken record. Where have you heard this before?? Hockey, and more hockey, and work!
I worked Tuesday, and Wednesday night. Del took Kyle to practice in the city on Wednesday evening. Thursday, Jayde had practice in the city. Friday, I was home during the day, and then I picked up the boys at school at 3, and took Jayde to Trent's house, so they could go with Trent's parents to the boys hockey game in Morris. They came home that night. I took Lucas home with me. Saturday morning, Jayde and Trent went with Dennis to their hockey game, and Dennis dropped off Jayde at Boston Pizza to meet with his regional team for lunch. His regional team had lunch and some quality bonding time before they went to the rink to play against another regional team, Trent and Dennis's. Del and I, Kyle and lucas, went to pick up Linda, (after all the farm chores were done-including catching new calves, and tagging/needling, etc...), and we all went to watch the older boys play hockey. Tied 5-5. good physical game! Then we went to Pizza Hut for supper, and then to my nieces apartment for night. Sunday morning, Del and Jayde went to Morris for Jayde's game, while Kyle and I went to Kyle's practice. Del and Jayde then came back to pick us up, and then after a quick stop for lunch, pick up our stuff, and a milk run, we headed home. Actually we stopped at a friends home in town for supper and a good visit. Then home just before dark, to check on the cattle situation. Whew! What a ride!!!
My parents came out for the weekend, and stopped by for a quick visit on Saturday morning. They offered to help get 'ready' for the sale, but its a little difficult to get ready already. Too much snow, water, and mud! A couple weeks, and then the pressure will be on to seed, and get ready for the big day! May 31! Remember! I'm actually a little relieved that I don't have to worry about providing food for that day. The auctioneer has someone who comes to do food for his sales-provincially approved. So, that's one less thing for us to do. And I even booked the portable toilets today! As if you wanted to know that!
This weekend was a good reminder of college days. Remember the days of no cable or no satellite TV? Or the days of an empty fridge? Taking the bus in the city? My boys couldn't believe how much it costs to rent an apartment, and all the expenses that go along with it. It's good to go through this stage. Makes you appreciate what you work for, and have earned!
Enough of my garbled life! Have a good night!
