Hey, I'm writing a post, and its not from work and its not in the morning! Normal hours!
Does anyone truly care what I write about my life/our life? I mean besides my family who is forced to care???? Sometimes I'm not sure whether to write about our families regular routine, which we don't seem to have anymore, or my extended families trials, or what!! So, I just ramble on and don't seem to say anything important at all. I know some people are checking in for updates from my mom, so I'm trying to include a little bit of everything.
My mom-I took her to the hospital yesterday, after a busy short of breath weekend for her. This was not a regular appt, but an appt I set up with my friend, the good doc, who took x-rays, and subsequently drained fluid from around her left lung. 1 1/2 litres later, she was so relieved to be able to breathe a little free-er. You may wonder, is this all the fluid-no, it wasn't. But, that was kind of the max thats suggested to take at this point. I took her home after the procedure, and she felt so good she was tempted to 'do stuff'. But, she was under strict orders to relax for the day. Needed to give her lungs/chest time to adjust to the extra space. Today, we got her appts for CT scan, and bone scan. This is all worked out to be done Thursday morning-along with her pre-op admission appt for Mondays admission.
Our little family-Well, school is almost done. Actually, Jayde is now done. Kyle has 2 1/2 days left. The boys both have awards night tomorrow evening. Be interesting to see what it is they get awards for. I spent the day at work today, re-arranging the med room. It's kind of nice to clean and organize stuff when its not your own. Or, its easier to do someone else's stuff, for me anyway. Del has been busy at work, as its been chemical season. It's starting to wind down, so maybe the weekends will free up a little.
We're hoping to get in some camping this next month. I guess we'll see how we fit it in between work, and moms stuff.
It was so exciting for me to cut the lawn the other day. I wish I had taken some pictures of our front lakes. Del has spent so much time pumping water off the lawn, and I got to cut most of the front lawn. And then we got blessed with a little rain again last night. And now this evening. Ugh, I was hoping it would be good for awhile. Oh, well. And to whine a little more-those mammoth mosquitos!!! I BBQ'ed last night. On the fire pit. Oh, my, those mosquitoes were nasty!! Jayde tilled the garden yesterday, and he doused himself with spray before the started cuz the bugs were swarming him!
Had our last two calves born this week. All done for another season. I did not see one delivery this year. We did not even have to pull one calf. And Del saw only one birth. Wow! What a change from last year.
Two cats have had babies, up in the shop roof. Can't even get at them to see how many there are. Kind of disappointing to miss the best stage.
I saw a 3 legged coyote in the garden the other morning. What a sickly thing. Must have had mange. I woke up Del, and he went out to try and shoot it. I left for work, as I was running late, and by the time Del drove around the yard's bush with the 4 wheeler, the thing had hid in the bush. Haven't seen it since.
Tomorrow, Jayde and I are going to do yard work, cook, bake, haul and unpack stuff at Grandma's house.....laundry.... whipper snip the weeds in the back yard, spray round up, ........and end the day with awards night. Should be a good one!
Time for bed! Goodnight!
