reality in another form

here's the update on the circus at our house-
-the auction sale is over and done with. How did it go, everyone asks. My answer is blaise-you win some and you lose some! that is life. time to move on.
-after the sale, we decided it was time to get away from the farm, and we went to the city to watch Jayde play hockey. We stayed there for night, and then he played again on Sunday, at noon. After that, we went to visit my mom in hospital. Seemed she was in good spirits.
-Dels maternal grandpa died on Sunday, and the funeral was today.
-I worked Monday days, and found out the funeral was on Wednesday, so I found people to work my Tues and Wed nights, so I could go to the funeral.

I'm almost at a loss for words. My mom had a CT done on Monday, and the report came back on Tuesday. They are 99 % sure it is cancer. Yeah. It's our turn. Lt sided lung cancer, which looks like its spread to the right as well. Tuesday became a day of dealing with nurses and docs by telephone. I have to say, I sure appreciate the staff at that hospital. They have been so good to me, communicating by phone. It became my job to inform the family. Something that isn't easy to do, but has to be done. My mom was discharged home this morning and will be referred to the city next week, to be seen by respiratory specialists and oncologists. Testing will be done to determine the type of cancer, prognosis, and treatment that can be done. Let me say this again, its much easier to deal with medical things when you're actually living close by the people who need help. Challenging times ahead with driving, appointments, house upkeep, and general TLC of both mom and dad.

9 more days of hockey-Go, Mustangs, Go! The driving for hockey will ease up and will be able to concentrate on other things. A tournament this weekend for Kyle, and a tournament next weekend for Jayde.
