the week in a nutshell

I think it's Sunday evening. Del, Jayde, Kyle & I are away. Camping. It's so good to get away from home, to relax and spend time together. We took off Friday after work. Set up in the campground, and subsequently slept for 12 hours. That was wonderful. Yesterday, after we finally got up, we went to the city for a couple of hours, and went we got back to the campground, Del & I both slept again. 2-3 hours later, it was time for supper. We played games until all hours-with the boys-card games-and then slept again until 1030 this morning. Too good to be true. Today has been a relaxing day of reading, eating, sunning, visiting, and just being bums! Beautiful weather today. Sun and blue skies!
This last week has gone so quickly. The last time I posted I mentioned all the things Jayde & I were going to accomplish on Wednesday. Well, lets just say, that didn't all happen. We got alot done, just not what was on that list. We went to my mom and dads for the morning, and ended up staying until 5. Got all the boxes unpacked that were still in the house. did some rearranging. Then we cleaned out a bunch of stuff in the garage. Andrea and Onyx came by, and they helped out. I'm so grateful for good friends! We got home and had a quick supper, and then we all went to the school awards night. Here's my moment of bragging! I hope I'm allowed. Both boys got awards of excellence for all marks above 80%. This is supposed to be their goal, and so far so good. Then there was a little surprise. Jayde got the award for Male Athlete in his class. He was so not expecting this. It was so much fun to see his excitement. As he told Kyle on the way home-this is the one he's proud of. Such a boy! Priorities or what!
Thursday, I worked an 8 hr day shift, while Laureen took my mom to the city for her tests. She had a bone scan, a brain CT, and she met with Anesthesia in preparation for Mondays procedure. Was a full day for them. After I got home from work, The boys and I packed the travel trailer for the weekend. We went to a neighbours house for supper. Had an awesome evening of wonderful visiting , and excellent food. Friday, I worked a 12 hr day. Kyle finished school at noon. Del and the boys picked me up from work at 730 and we were off.
I don't have anything wise to report or say. I'm not feeling that eloquent tonight. I'm just so grateful for family, friends, sunshine, green grass and tree, BBQ'd food, comfy beds,.........the list goes on and on.
