alright, what else??

Quick note! I'm at work and will keep this simple and straight to the point.
Last night, I was driving home from the city with the boys, and I was visiting with my mom on the cell. She hasn't been feeling good lately, and I was checking up on her. She's home alone this week while my dad is out here helping out with farming stuff between me and my brothers house. I had this feeling that there was more going on than the doctors had told her, and wasn't impressed with the treatment she was receiving. Needless to say, my God-given intuition kicked in-yes, Rol, you read that right- and thought maybe there was something else going on. So, I came to work today, discussed this issue with some friends at work, made some phone calls, and told my mom to present to her local ER. Thus said, she had some fluid drained from her lungs to relieve her shortness of breath, and we'll see how it goes. Admission to hospital is the word. And I'm stuck at work, while my dad is out here, unable to drive home, due to his poor vision at this point. (cataract surgery this summer). Feels pretty useless to be at work when you're needed somewhere else. Actually, I guess I'm not needed somewhere else. My brother and his wife will take my dad south, and I'll communicate by phone. So remember my mom in your thoughts and prayers please. I'm sure it'll work out. Tough to have a sick parentn somewhere when there's no immediate family to help out. It's been an interesting experiment!
