Seriously, I truly love coming home! Settling back into the house, with all the stuff from the weekend, yes, its a chore, but its so good for my little family to be together, at home.
Kyle's team had their last game this morning. I thought Kyle played much better today, so it was with some relief that we left that tournament, feeling a bit better about things. Four hours after leaving the rink, we were back home-my second home-the hospital. There are my parents-Room 12 and Room 14. Cozy in their beds. Would be kind of cute, if it wasn't all a bit much. I thought Dad looked good. My brother informed me he looked much better today than yesterday. Must be something to do with the liver enzymes coming down from their through the roof high, and now being able to take fluids by mouth. Oh, he loved the tea, soup, and juice he got for supper. Mom on the other hand, well, I thought she was even more tired than when we admitted her on Wednesday. They've now limited her visitors to immediate family only, as there were just too many people stopping by. She's okay with her kids chatting beside her, but when others show, its too much effort for her to keep up to things. I'm meeting with the home o2 people tomorrow, and mom and dads house, to set up home oxygen, when she is able to come home. When???? Don't know. She is absolutely not ready to come home at this time. Will she rally? I don't know. Time will tell. She is so worried about dad and that is not helping. Her doc is wonderful, and will do almost anything for her. He will not let her go home, if she isn't ready, or if he doesn't feel she will manage. So, its day by day for now. Regarding dads issues, hopefully a CT appt will be available in the next couple days, and will enlighten us whats going on there.
Hockey-well, thats a wrap for this weekend! Kyle's team won one and lost two. Jayde's team won one, lost two, and tied one. Jayde played defence for the last two games, due to team injuries. Apparently he did alright. He said he had a wonderful time. He said he ate lots all weekend, and had a great time getting to know other kids. The hockey was fun for him-and challenging, which helps to make it fun.
I'm going to unpack my suitcase. Maybe even start the washing machine. Get a head start on settling back into 'home' mode. Whatever that is.
