Mom

My mom had her oncologist appt today. Her CT results are in. The news is not good.
The nodules in her lungs have increased in size and in numbers. Not only has the cancer metastasized to her bones, but has also moved into her liver and an adrenal gland.
This has happened while she has been on oral chemotherapy. There are no other medical treatment options that are viable at this point. She has has difficulty tolerating the chemo, and to continue would be futile. So, her last week of chemo medication has been 'scrapped', and she will be placed into a Palliative Care Treatment mode. She will be treated for her symptoms, and kept as comfortable as possible.
Her lungs are also filling up with fluid again, and will probably need to be drained in the near future. This will be done on a as needed basis.

So, our lives go on, we just change the jist of how we deal with the circumstances. We don't have a time line for mom, but we don't have one for ourselves either.........time will tell.
Hopefully, once the oral chemo effects wear off, she will find a little strength and rally a bit. We'll see............
So grateful they are close by..............
Thats it from here today............
