Ever feel so tired you don't think you can move?? yes, that's how I'm feeling right now, and its only 143 am. That means I've got 5 hours to go on this shift. Augh!!! I wasn't cut out to work nights; except I can get more done on the side if I work nights. Maybe thats why I'm tired.
Can you believe it?? Its Mar 11. Already!! And it was -24 on the way to work with a wind that was at 200 miles an hour. Okay, maybe thats an exageration! It's that cold, but its windy, but not quite that windy. I'm anticipating spring. Sometime.
The boys are still playing playoff hockey. Both their teams survived their last rounds, and are moving on. Jayde's team plays game 1 tomorrow night of their best of three series, and Kyles team will play on the weekend. Jayde's team hosted Provincials last weekend and so they had a bye into that tournament. There team did not bad. But not great either. They won the first two, tied the third, and then lost in the last 2 games. They lost the bronze game. So disappointing for them. Jayde played well.
Jayde followed up the day at the rink on Sunday, by getting sick on Monday. He came home from school with the achy flu. Fever, and hurting all over. Went to school this morning, but got sick again at noon. Stayed there, and went to hockey practice in the evening. Nothing like advil and tylenol to help you get through!!! I had the same flu on Monday, and I still fell a touch of it.
I had to laugh last night. Del was telling me how Jayde ate at the rink on Sunday. His appetite is voracious! Del gave him $20 to buy supper while Del was a host for the team playing. So on Monday Del asked Jayde where the change was, and Jayde got him his change. $2. Yup. That's right. $2. Del asked him what he ate, and he said he'd been so hungry after those games, he'd had 2 cheeseburgeres, 2 taco salads, and 2 chocolate milks!! Can you imagine??!! And then he ate again at home after all that. And its not like he didn't eat all weekend before that!! A sign of a growing boy, I guess!!
My cousin, Kathi, her husband , Gerald, and their girls also were over this last weekend. We had a wonderful time with them staying at our house!!!!
Mom went for her follow-up CT today. Laureen and Michelle took her, thankfully. They were unable to do an infused CT, so she drank the contrast, and then they did the CT. She has that appt on Tues, March 24. We'll see what the verdict is then. She has another 10 days left of her oral chemo, hopefully she'll get some energy back after that!!
Went to a friends grandmas funeral this morning. She sounded like she was a wonderful woman!! Makes you think of all the people who've gone 'before us', and the ones who are expected to go soon.
Can someone please, please, please, send some spring weather???!! Sunshine, and more sunshine. And warm temps, please!!!??
